Following the first training workshop developed for 25 youth workers last November in Rome, it’s now time for testing the validation model with focus groups of young volunteers in 5 countries of the EU. The testing phase will reach more than 100 young volunteers from Spain, Italy, Poland, France and Portugal until February 2018. The main goal is to test Outputs O2 and O3 generated by Voyce consortium: Manual and Platform for validation of volunteering competences.
The participants are going to learn how to use two experimental tools for the validation of young volunteers’ competences created by the Voyce consortium. Is Specifically planned to evaluate and validate competencies acquired thanks to volunteering, so the feedback from the young volunteers is essential to refine the model. The tools are user friendly and suitable also for organizations not expert in evaluation of competencies.
The first tool is the manual, a practical tool used by organizations to bring out and validate the learning acquired by their young volunteers. The second is an interactive online platform that besides offering the opportunity to carry out also on a digital support the pathway already established in the manual, will offer features to promote connections between young people and companies.
The results of the testing phase and suggestions from youth workers/young volunteers will be used to improve the model.
